Spring Break is Cancelled

Due to the continued news regarding COVID-19, and not wishing to expose potentially at risk populations and club members to the illness, the Twin Cities Area Council of Camera Clubs has decided to cancel Spring Break for 2020.  Notices have been sent to those who have registered.  The registration people will be working with the on-line registration providers to get refunds directly to those who have registered as soon as possible.  Please be patient, as it may take as long as two weeks.

This is the first time in over 30 years that this event has been cancelled. The committee is already working on a bigger and better Spring Break in 2021.

The Interclub Awards will be announced by the end of the month and arrangements will be made in early April for pickup of the prints and the awards belonging to our members.

More Bad News

Mike Shaw, our speaker for the meeting on March 18 has cancelled all his workshops and travel activities until things improve.  Because of his reticence in coming to Hudson we are cancelling the meeting.  We will be making decisions on future meetings on a weekly  basis.

Sad News

I was deeply saddened by news of the passing of Pat Lieberman, one of our members since 2016.  It is a loss for everyone who knew him.  He’s the guy who always smiled, had fun, and enjoyed the moment.  He and his wife, Kathy, were at our year-end celebration this year and he participated in several group outings.  The photo is one I took of him at the Scavenger Hunt last July.
