Portfolio Title: On the Lek with Sharptail Grouse
Statement of Intent: Approaching the lek in the dark before sunrise, we can hear the booming call of the Sharptail Grouse and the stuttering of dancing feet. The activity is frenzied; with the males dancing, bickering or outright fighting. However, when the female arrives to pick a mate the dancing becomes more civilized as they mate up and fly away.
