John Pennoyer will be the next speaker for the Western Wisconsin Photography Club virtual meeting held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6:30pm. Pennoyer’s presentation will be “Brown Bears of Alaska”, in which he will provide general information of the brown bears in Alaska, including their behaviors and locations to find and photograph these bears. He will also cover the typical camera settings and lenses for a great bear shot.
Pennoyer is an accomplished nature and landscape photographer, who has had many of his images used by “Bowhunter Magazine”, Peterson Bowhunting, Game and Fish Magazine, and many others. Growing up in Montana, it was natural for him to be in the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing or hiking. He eventually picked up photography, and found that it would begin to open his eyes to so many things in the outdoors. He has photographed the flora and fauna of Minnesota, and also enjoys traveling around the country with his camera. He has completed six trips to Alaska to photography the brown bears; the last of which he led a group photo workshop.
Our mid-month meeting on November 17th will feature Rikk Flohr. He’s an employee of Adobe, and plans to discuss a new update from Lightroom, as well as additional tips. More information will follow.
