After two years of dealing with the pandemic I am hoping that 2022 will be better.
Everyone wants in-person meetings at the Phipps again, under the right circumstances.
Earlier this week I sent an email to members to see how we feel. I received 40 responses, about half our membership. About two-thirds want to get back to in-person meetings and about one-third said, “NO”.
Many added comments:
- Ask members to prove they’ve been vaccinated
- Maybe – I will wait until winter driving is over
- Their age, being susceptible
- Enjoyed the webinar presentations
- I prefer the WebEx option for salons
- There would be more presenter choices from out of our area using WebEx
- Miss the treats
- Miss seeing other members and making friends
- Darn tired of wearing masks in public
Here is some interesting information on what is happening with Covid in St. Croix County.
Part of the problem of having in-person program meetings is finding local speakers who will come to our club in this environment. But I am hoping that by March, at the latest, we will have meetings again at the Phipps.
