John Schultz went out in his Afton, Minnesota, driveway last night to shoot the Perseid meteor shower . In addition to getting a few meteors, the aurora was incredible. John wants our members to know that the aurora should be visible again tonight. Johns says, “If people want to do this themselves, you don’t have to be particularly dark – I am in Afton which is Bortle class 5. Finding a dark sky site nearby is difficult. These were mostly 20 second exposures.
