Stuff You Need to Know

Cinco de Mayo Photowalk this Saturday

Willie Gorham is organizing a group outing to capture images of the 2018 Cinco de Mayo Festival on the St. Paul West Side this Saturday, May 5.  The festival begins at 9:00 am and will end at 6 pm.  There will be lots of subject matter to photograph including a parade that beings at 10:00 am, live music performances, a car show and much more.  We will meet at the Wisconsin exit 2 Park & Ride at 8:15 for carpooling.  If you plan on going there on your own, here are directions including the location and parking.

Call for Artists

The Phipps Center for the Arts is accepting entries for a juried exhibition celebrating the first 50 years of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The exhibition will be held at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, WI, September 14 through October 21, 2018.

The announcement from the Phipps encourages artists to submit work that “expresses the significance of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway in their lives, and communicates that connection through unique depictions, interpretations, impressions, memories, and hopes for the future.”
