Jeff has been enjoying gallery representation at Seasons on St. Croix Gallery in Hudson for over six years. He appreciates his relationship with the gallery owner, Ruth Misenko, who promotes and sells his work. He does his own printing, as well as all aspects of the framing process, including cutting the mats and making the frames. Scenes of Hudson and elsewhere in the area, as well as photos from Mexico, the North Shore, and wildlife are mainstays. Because of his signature style, Jeff has become the exclusive photographer for the Hudson Chamber of Commerce and his work is used in their publications that are widely distributed. Currently, one of his photos is the cover of “The Wild and Secenic St. Croix Valley” the 2016 Visitor Guide for the St. Croix Valley. The “Welcome to Hudson” sign coming into Hudson from I-94 also sports his work. His web site is here.
Ken has recently begun a relationship with Kelley Frame & Fine Art Gallery in Hudson. We all know about his unique vision, his style that he imprints on his memorable images and which attracted the owner’s attention. There you can purchase framed prints, matted prints and note cards that are all on display.
Marge lives in Webster, Wisconsin, and organized a well-attended photo shoot for our club at Crex Meadows Wildlife Area. Her award-winning nature photos are on exhibit now in the Phipps Healing Arts program at Hudson Hospital and Clinics. The Artists’ Reception is August 12, 6-8 pm, and light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will end October 2, and her web site is here.
Troy was recently awarded Grand Champion at the St. Croix Valley County Fair this year. It was a creative interpretation he made using Topaz Glow. Also this month Troy organized the Minneapolis Aquatennial Fireworks photowalk last Saturday and one of his images was featured on Fox 9 Weather with Ian Leonard.
And last, but not least, Michael Huber (Drum Roll)
I got word that one of Michael’s N4C contest winners was included in a submission to the Photographic Society of America’s Council Challenge Color Competition. The PSA is a premier international organization with thousands of members worldwide. Michael was given a top award and his image will appear in the PSA Journal, which goes out to all members and can be purchased at newsstands. You can see more of his amazing and award-winning work at his web site.
Michael did a video a while back showing how this incredible image, “Basket Ballin'” was made.
Congratulations to all! Sometimes the talent in this club is a bit intimidating to me, but always inspiring.
