We had a fun meeting with a quick review personal projects, photowalks and of other upcoming Club happenings. You can see by the adjacent photo that our Club is represented (by Jeff Bucklew) at the Hudson Library in a prominent spot! We will rotate member images monthly and will also include a name card and WWPC information. Members who are interested in reserving a month should pop me an email via the contact page. The only requirement is that the image size be a minimum of 11×14 and it should be matted and framed. Canvas wraps are also acceptable. This is a great opportunity to show off your work to lots of people. Thanks Linda for helping set this up!
We had a cool presentation by Mike and Sue of CloseUp Images who brought in tons of different things they can print on. They are offering a 10 percent discount on all orders by our members for the month of February! AND they became members of our fine Club!
Mike Waterman is leading a Judging Class February 20th, 6:30 PM at the Phipps. This is a great opportunity to learn how to critique others and your own work! Please mark it down in your calendar. He may even bring cookies! There will be more information coming in next week’s post.
This will be the last call for Members to submit their photo to help our Club be represented at the Interclub Competition. We are still short by 12 member images. Please email your best image from last year to firstname.lastname@example.org. We have always done well and would like our streak to continue!
I found this nice info graphic from This Week in Photography that does a great job explaining why it is (typically) best to shoot in RAW format. Why let the camera make the editing decisions? Keep shooting!
